Gay Games Denver 2030 XIII

Denver Kicks Off Critical Week in Journey Towards Bringing 2030 Gay Games to the Mile High City

Site Visits, Community Night, and “Federation of Gay Games” Day all combine to form a crucial week for the city's bid.

DENVER, COLORADO, USA (July 15, 2025) Denver’s bid to host the 2030 Gay Games enters the home stretch this week with a full slate of critical milestones. Federation of Gay Games (FGG) official site inspectors  have arrived in the city and, over the course of the week, will inspect the proposed venues that would play host to 36 sporting events and a full slate of cultural events should Denver win the 2030 Gay Games.

As one of two cities vying to host the 2030 Games, the Gay Games Denver 2030 Bid Committee (GGDEN2030) has worked closely with Visit Denver and City and State Leaders to showcase the city’s immense international appeal and strong community support to FGG members. In recognition of the importance of winning the Games and bringing 10,000+ athletes, participants, and spectators to Denver, the City of Denver declared today, July 15th “Federation of Gay Games Day”. Along with this proclamation, Denver is welcoming the Gay Games inspectors throughout downtown with banners as well as specially illuminated buildings

GGDEN2030 members and Cheer Colorado welcome site selection members to Denver.

Tomorrow, July 16th 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., GGDEN2030 will bring together supporters of the bid at a free Community Night at ReelWorks Denver (1399 35th St. Denver CO. 80205). All are welcome to enjoy entertainment, and hear from local and state officials, business leaders, and community leaders about the bid, learn more about the Gay Games, and show support for this incredible chance to bring the world’s largest LGBTQ+ sporting and cultural event to Denver!

After this week of site visits and community events concludes, GGDEN2030 will travel to Valencia, Spain – the site of the 2026 Gay Games – in October to show the committee one final time why they should select Denver as host city and bring the world “Together, Out, West” in 2030.
