Dia de los Muertos Colfax Art Crawl | First Friday
This November, Colfax glows a little differently. For one night, 40 West Arts transforms First Friday into a celebration of memory, color, and the ancestors who shaped who we are. Marigold petals will line the walkways. Candlelight will flicker across a community ofrenda built one photo at a time, so bring an image or small keepsake of someone you've lost and add it to the altar. Catrina-inspired pieces, bold color, and works honoring Latina/o/x/e and Indigenous storytelling traditions will fill the galleries and studios across the 40 West Arts District.

The Art District on Santa Fe (ADSF) is proud to hosting our Día de Muertos celebration annually on the First Friday of November as part of Denver Arts Week. On Friday, November 6th, in addition to traditional First Friday Art Walk activities—with late-night access to hundreds of artists and exhibits among the galleries on Santa Fe Drive—there will be Calavera face painting stations, artist-made altars throughout the district, dance and musical performances, a community procession and more!

Golden Triangle Creative District
RiNo (River North) Arts District
First Fridays in the RiNo Art District begin at the RAD Welcome Center in the RiNo ArtPark at Arkins Park. Think of it as the trailhead for the evening: see the current exhibition at the Welcome Center Gallery, get oriented, and, more often than not, enjoy a First Friday Festival with live art, music, food trucks and local makers. From there, visitors can wander roughly one square mile of galleries, artist studios, murals, and creative spaces opening their doors across the district. Every First Friday, RiNo Art District becomes an open-house celebration of Denver's creative community.

Tennyson Berkeley Association
During First Friday for Denver Arts Week restaurants, shops and breweries will be displaying art from Denver Artists. From 38th Ave to 46th Ave along Tennyson Street there will be activities for all age groups. Whether you are looking for a great meal, to share a locally brewed beer with friends, or shop along the street, you will find experiences that enrich the celebration of the local art scene.

Denver is known for many things, including its Mile High drag scene! Home to internationally renowned performers and local icons, drag in Denver has never been more entertaining. Join the Lavender Hill Cultural District for the Denver Drag Showcase, on Friday, November 6th as a part of Denver Arts Week's First Friday events. The Denver Drag Showcase is a collection of district-wide events celebrating Denver’s drag performers and Denver drag excellence. A variety of events offer every drag lover something to see, so don’t forget your 1$ bills and get ready for a fabulous time!
