In addition to partnership and development duties, Stein will lead Visit Denver Foundation strategy
DENVER (Oct. 15, 2026) — Today Visit Denver announced the hiring of Cayti Stein as vice president & chief partnership and business development officer. Stein will lead the organization’s partnership relations and engagement, business development as well as strategy for the Visit Denver Foundation.
Stein joins Visit Denver from the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, where she most recently served as senior vice president of customer experience bringing sales, marketing and events together to strengthen member relationships, increase retention and grow revenue.
“Cayti understands how to build relationships that create value for partners and the broader community,” said Visit Denver president and CEO Richard Scharf. “Her experience across sales, marketing, events and economic development will help us deepen engagement with Denver’s tourism and hospitality industry and develop new opportunities to support our work.”
At Visit Denver, Stein will guide partnerships and partner engagement, sponsorships, advertising and co-op programs and industry events. She will also provide strategic oversight for the Visit Denver Foundation, including its tourism education and workforce development initiatives.
“Tourism is one of Denver’s most powerful economic engines, and Visit Denver is the innovative team that drives it. I’m thrilled to be part of it. I can’t wait to work with Visit Denver’s partners and help build lasting legacies in the hospitality community through the Foundation,” said Stein. “I’m grateful to J. J. Ament for his steady vision and guidance, both at the Chamber and throughout my career. I’m proud of the work we’ve done at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce, and I look forward to seeing its impact for years to come.”
Born in Colorado, Stein earned degrees in international affairs and Russian studies from the University of Colorado Boulder. She has spent most of her career in economic development, including as executive director of the U.S.-Russia Chamber of Commerce. Over nearly eight years at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce she led investor relations, sales, events and marketing, most recently as senior vice president of customer experience. Known for her customer-centric approach, Stein loves convening business, community and government leaders to move hard things forward.
Stein lives in Golden with her husband, Mike, their children, Clark and Shelby, and their dog, Petey. In her free time she is often downtown catching a show at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, cheering on a Denver team or meeting friends at one of the city’s top restaurants.
Stein joins Visit Denver in late November.
