Ghosts in the Gardens

Denver Botanic Gardens dares you to join us after dark for the spine-tingling stories of our haunted history. Stroll through the dark paths at your own pace as the storytellers share real staff encounters, security guard accounts and the intriguing history of the place that was formerly known as "The Boneyard." If you're feeling bold, step inside the Waring House for an exclusive visit to the Beaux-Arts-style mansion and the secrets it might hold. This tour is self-guided, and you may visit the storytellers in any order you like. The tour should take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Storytellers will begin new stories every quarter-hour.

'Witches' Tea'

Trick or Treat Street at Larimer Square

BOOnion Station

From 4 to 7 p.m., enjoy trick-or-treating, mini-train rides, balloon artists, face painting and more at this free event. The judging for the costume contest will begin at 5 p.m., with prizes awarded at 6 p.m. for first, second and third place overall best costumes.  

All Treats, No Tricks: Sensory-Friendly Halloween 2026

This special event creates a fun and traditional Halloween experience for those with disabilities, with doors wide enough for wheelchairs and a calm corner where a child can do a reset if they get overwhelmed. Various tables offer treats with at least one non-food treat for those who can't have candy. The tables belong to local providers and organizations that understand the community. Costumes are encouraged and completely optional.
