Whether you’re cheering on the Denver Broncos at Empower Field at Mile High; catching a Denver Nuggets basketball or Colorado Mammoth lacrosse game at Ball Arena, plus rallying for the Colorado Avalanche when the arena gets converted to ice; supporting the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field; experiencing the excitement of Colorado Rapids soccer at Dick's Sporting Goods Park or gearing up for Denver’s newest addition, Denver Summit FC. Kicking off in 2026, the team will be part of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).

Sports Attractions & Tours

Coors Field

"Behind the Seams" tours of Coors Field are available Monday through Saturday during the season and then Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday during the offseason and provide a behind-the-scenes look at one of the premier ballparks in Major League Baseball. All tours begin at Gate D (20th & Blake Street). Tours last 75-80 minutes and cover a distance of approximately one mile. All tours are accessible for guests with disabilities. Also, don't miss the Sandlot, a brewery in Coors Field that is open year-round. 

Colorado Sports Hall of Fame

Come see the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, a free museum honoring Colorado sports legends. Open most Thurs.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Also visit Empower Field at Mile High. Tours begin each half hour and are 75 minutes in length. This is your chance to see the "back of the house" where the Broncos play. 

The prices are now as follows: Adults: $40, kids (6-12): $35, seniors (65 and older): $35, military (with ID): $35 and young kids (5 and under): Free

National Ballpark Museum

Recognized as one of the finest baseball collections in the world. Highlights at the National Ballpark Museum include a tribute to Colorado baseball history, seats from the classic ballparks, one-of-a-kind baseball artifacts, autographed jerseys, baseballs, uniforms and bats. Take a personalized tour led by Curator Bruce Hellerstein.

See where the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth call home, plus have backstage access to where the big names in music have performed. Denver Onyx

Inspired by a unique native gem, a pinkish (and tough) marble-like stone featured in the Colorado State Capitol, the Denver Onyx is a professional women's rugby team fueled by passion. Founded in 2025, they compete in the Women's Elite Rugby union. See the team's schedule.

Denver Barbarians RFC

Rugby is a sport more often identified with the United Kingdom, but Denver has had a pro ("super league") rugby club for more than 40 years (established in 1967). The Denver Barbarians (known as the Barbos) competes against 15 other club teams from all over the United States, the highest level of competitive rugby play in the country. Head to the new Dick's Sporting Goods Park to catch the club in all their rough-and-tumble glory. The season runs from February to May. See the Barbarians' schedule.

American Raptors

The American Raptors is a rugby club composed of athletes who crossed over from other sports like football, baseball and soccer. But these aren't just any athletes. They competed in their respective sports at the highest levels. See the club's schedule. 

Colorado Apex

The Colorado Apex is a professional ultimate frisbee team that competes in the AUDL West Division. See the team's schedule. 

Colorado Rapids 2

A newcomer on the Denver sports scene, the Colorado Rapids 2 (founded in 2021) competes in the MLS Next Pro league. It's owned by the Colorado Rapids and operates as a reserve team for the parent club. See the team's schedule.
