SeriesFest Season 12 will take place May 6–10, 2026.
SeriesFest is a festival celebrating the art of independent TV series creation — here in the birthplace of cable television. The event showcases the best new pilots from across the globe by both seasoned and emerging content creators in an international, juried competition. As the Los Angeles Times put it, SeriesFest aims "to give television its own Sundance."
The festival's screenings will take place at the state-of-the-art Sie FilmCenter, with additional programs and events at a variety of Denver venues such as Asterisk. SeriesFest is currently pursuing expanded opportunities and partnerships that will provide exciting programming, conversations and networking events that bring together the SeriesFest community. SeriesFest is proud to once again partner with the Denver Film Society.
The annual festival will include competition screenings, one-of-a-kind workshops and engaging panel discussions, including "The Directors of Shondaland: Vision and Story," featuring directors and creatives from the Shondaland family, including Gia-Rayne B. Harris (Director, "Bridgerton"), Annie Laks (SVP of ABC Series & Netflix Features, Shondaland), Marco Esquivel (VP of Netflix Scripted Series, Shondaland). You'll also be privy to never-before-seen sneak peeks and television premieres, including a screening of Hulu's "The Testaments" with special guest Amy Seimetz, the season 2 world premiere of "The Four Seasons," the first episode of Peacock's "Ponies," a special screening of "My Father, Dick Allen" with director and producer Andy Billman, and a screening of "Rainbow Socks."
Watch in-depth conversations with top television industry leaders like Susan Rovner (Chief Creative Officer, MicroCo) and Jana Winograde (CEO, MicroCo) during SeriesFest’s signature Innovation Talk. The International Spotlight program will showcase original works from around the globe, including “Babies” (United Kingdom), “Zorro” (France), “Jailbreakers” (France) and “Raul Seixas: Let Me Sing” (Brazil).
There will also be Independent Pilot Competitions for drama, comedy and unscripted productions; a Digital Short Series Competition; a Late Night Competition; and a Pitch-a-Thon, where independent artists will pitch un-produced projects to a panel of top industry executives. Want to weigh in? Watch Pilots in Progress and give feedback directly to the creators, helping shape the future of new television projects.
In celebration of SeriesFest's 12th year, the SeriesFest Soirée on May 8 will honor excellence in episodic storytelling. Hosted by TV, Film and Broadway actor Erich Bergen ("Madam Secretary," "Jersey Boys," "Love Story: JFK Jr. & Carolyn Bessette), the 2026 SeriesFest Soirée will honor cable TV pioneer and founder and former chairman of Starz Entertainment, John J. Siecelebrate; "The Good Place" actor and comedian D'Arcy Carden; "The Testaments" actress Amy Seimetz; "Bridgerton" director Gia Rayne B. Harris; and Littleton Road Productions, the creative team behind "Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy," "Dr. Death" and "The Girl From Plainville." It will be an opportunity to mix, mingle and celebrate with industry leaders, creatives and supporters during a fun, festive night featuring food stations, craft cocktails and beverages, plus a lively silent and live auction.
